up up and away

pixar continues to run away with the animation crown. Up is yet another marvelous foray into the 3D animation world, filled with great characters, wonderful sceneries and fantastic animation.

this is what i love about pixar, their devotion to character design and story and character development. it's amazing how you grow to love a giant bird without it uttering a word! this film is funny, witty, exciting, and a great film to start off pixar's full-on 3D experience.

i do have to say, my favorites are still ratatouille, finding nemo and the incredibles, but along with monster's inc. and wall-e, this one comes a close 4th in my pixar scale of awesomeness.

minor spoiler alert: this one has one of the saddest beginnings of any film, ever!
